At Local Way Tours, we believe travel should be welcoming, inclusive, and accessible to as many people as possible. Our small-group style means we can offer a more personal level of care, and our team is always ready to adapt wherever we can to support your needs.
HOW WE SUPPORT YOU
Personalised Assistance – Our friendly guides are on hand to help with boarding, mobility support, or adjusting the pace of the day. Due to our small groups, our guides are able to provide genuine care, and go above and beyond to ensure your day is an enjoyable one.
Service Animals – Accredited assistance dogs are welcome on our tours, in line with attraction policies. We ask that you please contact us should you require the use of a service dog, as there are some locations (wildlife reserves) where we will need to provide written authority to.
Wheelchair and Mobility Assistance – Due to vehicle design, full wheelchair access is not available, however our guides are trained to provide personalised assistance, and we welcome guests with mobility (walkers and walking sticks) needs to contact us so we can support them – as we are able to accommodate these.
Dietary Needs – We can cater to common dietary requirements such as vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and allergies. Please let us know of these at the time of booking.
If you have additional requirements (such as religious or otherwise), we ask that you please reach out to us so that we can ensure we provide you with the most accurate information possible.
Mobility & Access – Some attractions and natural locations involve uneven ground, steps, or boardwalks. Our guides will be there where possible to warn and provide assistance around obstacles, but we do ask that all guests be able to walk at least 200m unassisted OR to have a companion with them who is able to offer this assistance.
Clear Communication – Our itineraries are designed to be easy to follow, and our guides are happy to provide extra explanation or support when needed.
Inclusive Welcome – We warmly welcome travellers of all ages, cultural backgrounds, and communities, including LGBTQIA+ guests, solo travellers, families, and seniors.
